Alterations to PBA imports
San Miguel has revealed its backup strategy for acquiring foreign players by placing Orlando Johnson on standby in the event that the Beermen decide to replace their present reinforcement, Brandon Brown.
According to sources, the Beermen have made contact with NBA veteran and former Ginebra import Johnson. Johnson played for the Gin Kings in 2015 and averaged 33.7 points and 11.3 rebounds per game.
According to coach Chot Reyes, injured TNT player McKenzie Moore is suffering from “jumper’s knees.” TNT is attempting to make an import swap in order to find a suitable replacement for McKenzie Moore on the team.
McKenzie Moore, a player imported from TNT, was on the bench for the majority of the closing minutes of the PBA game versus Alaska.
The Tropang Giga have some good luck in that they don’t play again until January 6 of the following year. This gives them an 11-day break, which should be enough time for the replacement import to clear IATF regulations and get some practice runs in.
Basilan rules MPBL Invitational
Basilan prevailed over Nueva Ecija and won the MPBL Invitational championship with an 83-80 victory late on Thursday night at the Mall of Asia Arena. The game was decided by a three-pointer that was made by Philip Manalang just before the buzzer.
His only basket of the match ended up to be the game-winner that capped Basilan’s undefeated run in the pocket tournament. The University of the East product found himself open from the top of the arc after receiving an inbounds pass from Michael Juico with 1.9 seconds left.
Basilan was able to walk away with the P2 million cash reward because to the success of Manalang’s winner, while Nueva Ecija had to settle for the P500,000 prize awarded to the runner-up.
Moonton offers his thoughts on the Estes debate
As the hashtag #WeWantEstes continues to spread on Twitter, the Mobile Legends Professional League has finally spoken out about the controversy surrounding it.
In a brief statement that was published on the MPL Philippines page, the organization explained, “We would want to clarify that the M3 Champion Skin has not yet been selected, and development is still in the midst of progress.” “Additionally, we are totally cooperating with Blacklist and actively listening to their input. This comment is similar to one that was made by a moderator on the official discussion thread for the game on Reddit. In that post, it was said that “the champion skin of the M3 is yet to be fully decided.”
The ultimate selection will include players from each international team.”
