The Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) was established in 2017 by the legendary boxer Manny Pacquiao of the Philippines. Its mission is to provide deserving Filipino basketball players from all walks of life with opportunities to display their skills on a larger stage, with thousands of fans across the country cheering and representing their hometown teams from the Northern and Southern Divisions.

There are currently 22 teams from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao competing for the coveted national championship in the league, which is now on its fourth season and is known as the Mumbaki Cup. The league has come a long way from its humble beginnings and has achieved greater heights.

iWantTFC kicks off its worldwide coverage of the MPBL with a tripleheader in Pampanga. The first game is a battle for first place between Bacolod Bingo Plus and Rizal EMKAI Xentromall. The second game is a Southern Division showdown between Mindoro Tams Idol Cheesedog and GenSan Warriors. The final game pits the visiting Imus City Bandera against the Pampanga Giant Lanterns, who are the The live coverage will start at 5:00 PM (Philippine Time).
